David Pfingstgraef, B.Sc., B.Sc.(CD), M.Cl.Sc., Aud(C), CCC-A, Reg. CASLPO

David has provided audiological services in Elgin County and the area for over 25 years. David completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders (Speech Language Pathology and Audiology) from The University of Western Ontario. He then went on to complete a Master of Clinical Science degree in Audiology at The University of Western Ontario. He is a registered audiologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a Past-President of this regulatory college. He is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. David is also the regional audiology consultant for the Ontario Ministry’s Infant Hearing Program Southwest Region.

Retired Audiologists

Joanne Parsons, B.Sc.(CD), M.Cl.Sc., Reg. CASLPO (Retired)

Joanne was one of the founders of Elgin Audiology and provided audiological services for over 30 years before retiring in late 2025. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology) and her Master of Clinical Science degree in Audiology from The University of Western Ontario.

A registered audiologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), during her long career Joanne was known for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to helping her patients improve their hearing and quality of life. She had a particular interest in aural rehabilitation and provided audiological services at our St. Thomas, Aylmer, and Lambeth clinic locations.

Joanne’s warmth, expertise, and commitment to her patients have left a lasting impact on our team and the communities she served.

Shane Moodie, H.B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Cl.Sc., Reg. CASLPO (Retired)

Shane was a Clinical Audiologist at Elgin Audiology for much of his career, where his kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients made him a valued and trusted member of our team.

In addition to his clinical work, Shane served as a Clinical Lecturer and Supervisor at the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Western Ontario, sharing his expertise with future generations of audiologists. He was also a Research Associate with the National Centre for Audiology (NCA) and a consultant for the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services’ Infant Hearing Program. After a long and meaningful career dedicated to helping others hear their best, he is now retired, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, mentorship, and excellence in audiology.
